Adoption Application Process

The following is the Soul 2 Soul Animal Rescue and Sanctuary adoption process:

  1. Submit Online Application

    All prospective adopters must complete an adoption application. When submitting an application, please include the name of the animal you are interested in adopting.

  2. Application Review

    As Soul 2 Soul Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is run entirely by volunteers, the initial application review may take up to two weeks to complete. Please be patient during this initial process.

  3. Reference Checks (Veterinary and Personal)

    It is important that your personal references and veterinarian are aware that they should expect a call from us. The faster that we are able to reach your references, the faster we can process the application.

  4. Home Check

    Once your application review is complete, a volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit to meet in person and discuss the potential adoption. During the home visit we look for potential hazards for the dog that the adopter may not have considered. All household members must be present during the homme visit, including all pets.

  5. Meet & Greet

    Once your application has been approved, we will be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet. This is an important opportunity for everyone in your household—family members and pets included—to meet the dog in person and see if it’s a good match.
